CHARACTER

Name: Tatsumi Kazehaya
Canon: Ensemble Stars
Canon point: Beast's Survival
Age: 18

Summary:
Tatsumi is someone who views his life as one that's already spent.

In the past he attempted to do something that he viewed as good and righteous, but instead instead went on a 'full-on rampage' and hurt many people, one of them terribly. So terribly, in fact, that Tatsumi says quite bluntly that he 'will definitely go to hell in the future'. He still does his best to support and guide others - not so that he can make up for his past sins, which he states isn't possible, but so that others don't make the same mistakes that he did.

It gives him the capacity to be quite contradictory. Tatsumi himself is permissive of others in a way that may seem to run counter to his devoutly religious nature, while Aira calls him kind even while he notes that Tatsumi can say things that are cold and radical. His own misdeeds can never be forgiven, but no other individual he may encounter is truly beyond redemption.

While it's not a terribly healthy mindset to hold towards himself, it allows Tatsumi to throw himself wholly into helping others, which seems to bring him genuine joy. He's a problem-solver to his core, whether it's by explaining a complicated situation in easy to understand terms, finding resources to help his companions solve a task, or simply guiding the younger members of his unit through the idol industry.

Because that's ultimately the core of Tatsumi's worldview: it may be too late for him, but it's not too late for the people he cares about, which means it's both a privilege and obligation for him to guide them as best he can.

Powers/abilities: He has the ability to sense evil presences, whether it be vampires or a human being's particularly rancid vibes. Ensemble Stars delights in never quite explaining its stranger aspects, so that's all we really learn about it.

Inventory: Casual spring outfit, Bible, a pen, cellphone???

OTHER

Sentimental item: Mayoi's hair ribbon; Tatsumi defines himself by his ability to help others, so being able to replace something iconic that Mayoi recently lost in game will be a small but touching moment for them both.
Gemstone: Teal with flecks of gold; diamond shaped, with two of the corners chipped and a crack right down the middle.

Lost memory #1: Telling Mayoi about his time at Reimei, where he went on the previously mentioned 'rampage'; prior to joining ALKALOID, Tatsumi worked as a solo act, and in the process cultivated a stage presence that made him seem saintlike, but aloof and isolated at the same time. But Tatsumi isn't a saint - he's a human being, and a flawed one. Telling Mayoi the details of his time at Reimei was a sign that he had come to trust his new friends, and the absence of its memory will represent a gap in that trust that he'll need to bridge all over again.

Lost memory #2: Helping out Jun, Aira, and Leo during their 'survival training'. Though a minor memory, this takes place after the MDM and is a sign that Tatsumi is both adjusting to life as an idol and forming casual but important bonds with his coworkers. While he won't notice its absence, he'll no longer have an important memory to inform his perception of his relationship with his fellow idols

Altered memory: During a competition called the MDM, Tatsumi calls on the crowd to vote for ALKALOID in order for them to move onto the next round, at which point they can invite Crazy:B (a rival group that intentionally sabotaged their own popularity for complicated reasons) onto the stage for a duel, which would save the careers of both units. In the altered memory, the crowd will not vote for ALKALOID, leading to the group being dissolved. The individual members maintain their jobs within their agency, but the future of the group is left extremely precarious and uncertain.
